I had two consultations at South Bay Surgeons, and I immediately felt comfortable with Dr. Newman. I had a crease/line on my stomach from a previous tummy tuck. I had gotten 12 yrs prior from a different surgeon in Irvine. I was so self-conscious about it for years. Dr. Newman took fat from my lower back and tummy to fill & soften the crease. I also wanted a little fat to my hip dips and was pleasantly surprised he added some to my upper buttocks. I love how it came out. I have some much more curve to my body now. He added some fat to my lips & face hdjue tqo loss of volume. My lips were so swollen and huge for a month. I was scared they were never going to go down. He told me to be patient. My lips are perfectly plumped, no duck look to them at all.. so natural no one even notices I did anything to them. Dr. Newman's experience shows through his work/skills. He sculptured my body perfectly. I can't leave out my anesthesiologist, Dr. Patel, she was not only my doctor, she treated me like a girlfriend. She called me the evening before, while she was cooking for her children, to ask if I had any questions for her. She went through the process of what I should expect for my surgery the next morning. She made me feel so comfortable. On my surgery morning, I was feeling nervous and shed a few tears. She was so down to earth and sweet that my nerves had calmed down. My total experience was awesome. I can't begin to explain how extremely grateful I am to Dr. Burrell and the staff at South Bay Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Burrell did my breast reconstruction after having a preventative double mastectomy. I couldn’t be happier with the results. Dr. Burrell is a master of her craft. She has treated me with kindness and compassion throughout this whole process. She has continuously reassured me and got me through my nerves of such a difficult time. She has made me feel like myself again and better! I will miss seeing her and that staff on a consistent basis but I’m happy to be done!

Dr. Newman did a great job with our 6 year after he split his chin open. It’s been 2 weeks and it looks spectacular, only a faint pink line shows. We’re thankful Dr. Newman was on call that evening!

I began seeing Dr. Juan Rendon in January 2023 because I had previous breast reconstruction by another surgeon back in November 2022 (due to breast cancer) where major mistakes were done. My insurance referred me to Dr. Rendon and I am so happy they did. Right away, I felt completely comfortable with him as I was quite upset at what the previous surgeon did. Dr. Rendon assured me that with a revision done correctly, I would be extremely happy with the results which indeed I was. I am now following up with Dr. Rendon for further care and completion of the reconstruction. He takes the time to go over everything entailed in the procedure with care and compassion. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing breast reconstruction surgery.
Dr. Jewell and the staff are the best! I felt comfortable immediately at my consult with Dr. Jewell for my breast augmentation. She was confident, clear about what results to expect, and didn’t pressure me or try to add unnecessary procedures. I felt she listened and understood the exact look I was going for. My expectations were fairly high going in, and I felt they were exceeded.
