Dr Newman and Dr Liang both have great bedside manners!! Dr Newman is a perfectionist in my opinion, I have had a few surgeries for breast reconstruction (due to breast cancer) and I fully trust his judgement when making decisions during surgery, and I am 💯 % pleased with each outcome! The front office staff is amazing as well. The office is warm and welcoming!

Ni Jui Liang, MD performed surgery to remove cancer in my arm. From the first visit until the last Dr. Liang and the staff at South Bay Plastic Surgery were amazing. Not only are they incredibly nice and courteous but Dr. Liang is a miracle worker! When my surgery was done I had many stitches and expected to have a horrible scar. To make things even more difficult he had to work on an area where my wife's name was tattooed. Somehow he was able to remove the cancer sew my arm back and you can't even see a scar!!! Thank you so much for your amazing skills and your great bedside manner. I would highly recommend them to everyone. And my wife is so happy that her name is still boldly emblazoned on my arm and in my heart. Thank you again Dr. Liang and South Bay Plastic Surgery Charlie Woods

Dr. Newman is the best! I recommend him to all of my friends and family! I have had multiple procedures with Dr. Newman and I cannot express how happy I truly am! Dr. Newman and all of the staff were very helpful throughout the entire process. Even on Christmas eve when I had a concern, Dr. Newman himself called me back to address my needs. I owe a huge debt of gratitude to Dr. Newman and the staff for bringing back some needed confidence into my life!!
After my mastectomy in 2014, Dr. Spenler performed my reconstruction surgeries (insertion of expander then later replacement with implant). I cannot speak more highly of him. Dr. Spenler is an excellent surgeon and a caring person. The office runs very efficiently and all the personnel there helped me navigate my way through the whole experience. I am so happy that 4 1/2 years ago, I chose South Bay Plastic Surgeons to be a part of my journey through breast cancer/reconstruction. I have had zero complications and now happily back to my new normal.
Life can throw some zingers. At 60 I got the news of breast cancer. Modern medicine and superb medical professionals got me through two lumpectomies and radiation treatment without missing a beat with our retirement travels. Then at 68 I got the news that I had breast cancer again. This time I elected to have a bilateral mastectomy and reconstruction. I had a surgeon for the mastectomy in mind but did not have a clue as to who to go to for the reconstruction. Dr Whitney Burrell came highly recommended by my surgeon. My oncologist was happy with my selection and put me in their caring hands. Dr Burrell is down-to-earth and no-nonsense – an approach that resonates well with me. I looked forward to my weekly visits during reconstruction. Her sunny personality brightened my day. I am now finished and very happy with the results. It is important to find a team of doctors that you feel comfortable with and believe in and that work well together as doctors. I believe it made my recovery so much easier. I highly recommend Dr Whitney Burrell for breast reconstruction surgery. She is a highly skilled and caring plastic surgeon. I also commend the support team Dr Burrell works with at South Bay Plastic Surgeons. They are well trained professionals. The staff works out of a suite of rooms that are nicely appointed, simple, clean, and efficiently organized. My office visits were very pleasant and comfortable as well as timely.
