Case Details
This is a 59 year old female patient diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma of right breast. During her consultation, she voiced she was only interested in reconstruction of her right breast and wanted to stay around the same size 38DD. She underwent a right skin sparing mastectomy followed by right breast reconstruction with tissue expander.
Six months later, the patient proceeded with her next stage of reconstruction; delayed insertion of an Allergan 2800mL smooth round silicone filled breast implant with fat grafting from her abdomen and flanks to her right breast. This was followed by a left mastopexy for symmetry.
After recovering from her second stage of reconstruction, the patient wanted to proceed with her next stage; right nipple areolar reconstruction. Six weeks after her procedure, she met with our in house tattoo artist for areolar tattooing to match her left areolar.
