Breast Reconstruction Before & After Case 175

This is a 58 year-old female who was diagnosed with DCIS in the right breast. She opted for a right breast nipple-sparing mastectomy with expander reconstruction. Her surgeon decided to completely deflate her expander at the end of surgery in order to minimize the stress on her mastectomy scar due to the patient's history with tobacco. Upon healing, her surgeon proceeded with expansion.  Seven months later, her surgeon replaced her right tissue expander with a Mentor smooth round ultra-high profile 800cc silicone filled implant followed by fat transfer from her abdomen to her right breast to further enhance the contour.
