This 31 year old female patient from Los Angeles wanted a fuller buttocks and a narrower waist.  She did not want the risk of complications from buttock implants so she and her surgeon decided to use fat transfer instead.  This technique is also known as fat injection, fat grafting, natural buttock augmentation, and lipo filling (more information on this procedure can be found on our webpage for fat transfer).  It uses the body's natural fat to enhance the shape of the buttocks without any foreign materials and the result lasts a lifetime!

Liposuction was performed of her hips, also known as the flank areas.  Some people refer to this as the muffin top area that can be noticed in low waist jeans.  This fat was transferred to her buttocks to add more volume, projection, and contour.  Notice the more rounded contour from her back to her buttocks and the more distinct transition from her buttocks to her thighs on the lateral view photos.  She is thrilled with her new narrow waist, no muffin top, and a round, full buttocks!
