Tour de Pier 2025 – Manhattan Beach
South Bay Plastic Surgeons was honored to sponsor and participate in the 13th Annual Tour de Pier in Manhattan Beach, a powerful fundraising event dedicated to advancing cancer research, expanding patient support programs, and raising awareness. This year’s collective efforts generated approximately $1.5 million in donations benefiting the Uncle Kory Foundation, the Hirshberg Foundation, and Cancer Support Community South Bay.
Our commitment went beyond sponsorship. Our board-certified plastic surgeons and a dedicated team of staff hosted an interactive booth that quickly became a highlight for event attendees. Guests had the opportunity to spin our raffle wheel for luxury prizes, including complimentary facials, $100 spa credits, and laser hair removal sessions, each designed to showcase the high-end care available at our Torrance practice.
In addition to our sponsorship, we proudly raised over $2,600 to further the mission of Tour de Pier. This contribution reflects our dedication to giving back to the South Bay community and supporting causes that align with our values of wellness, confidence, and connection.
Tour de Pier is more than a stationary cycling event; it is a day filled with unity, determination, and hope, where participants ride together overlooking the Manhattan Beach shoreline. We are proud to stand alongside our neighbors, patients, and friends to champion this cause, and we look forward to continuing our support for events that bring meaningful impact to our community.

Charlie Saikley 6-Man Beach Volleyball Tournament – Manhattan Beach
South Bay Plastic Surgeons was proud to participate in the Charlie Saikley 6-Man Beach Volleyball Tournament, a highlight of the annual International Surf Festival that draws elite volleyball athletes, themed teams, and thousands of spectators to the Manhattan Beach Pier each summer. This iconic South Bay tradition celebrates community spirit, athletic excellence, and creativity in a vibrant beachfront setting.
We were honored to give back by offering complimentary services, luxury prizes, and interactive activities directly on the sand. Our beachside booth featured:
- A spin-to-win prize wheel with facials, B12 shots, laser hair removal, premium skincare products, and $100 spa credits
- A “Guess the Vials” contest for a chance to win complimentary Botox
- Hundreds of applications of medical-grade SPF, along with an on-site sunscreen spraying station to keep beachgoers protected throughout the day
The 6-Man Tournament allowed us to connect directly with Manhattan Beach residents and visitors, share our expertise in aesthetics and skin health, and bring the elevated experience of our Torrance practice to one of the South Bay’s most celebrated summer events.

BRA Run LA 2025 – Dockweiler Beach
South Bay Plastic Surgeons was proud to sponsor and participate in the 13th Annual BRA Run LA at Dockweiler Beach, hosted by Torrance Memorial in support of Evelyn’s Breast Friends Forever (BFF). This signature South Bay event raises awareness of breast cancer reconstruction and provides essential resources for survivors, including counseling, reconstruction support, and financial assistance that is often not covered by insurance.
This cause is especially meaningful for our Torrance plastic surgery practice. Evelyn, the founder of Evelyn’s BFF, is a patient of Dr. Michael Newman, one of our board-certified plastic surgeons. We are honored to continue supporting her vision of helping breast cancer survivors in the South Bay regain confidence, wellness, and balance after treatment.
As a long-time sponsor, South Bay Plastic Surgeons joined hundreds of community members who ran and walked along Dockweiler Beach in celebration of survivorship and awareness. Our participation reflects our dedication to advancing breast reconstruction education in Torrance and giving back to the South Bay community in impactful ways.
The BRA Run is more than a race. It is a vibrant community tradition that unites survivors, families, and supporters to honor those touched by breast cancer. We are proud to have sponsored this event for the 13th consecutive year and remain committed to supporting Evelyn’s BFF and the life-changing work it provides to women throughout Torrance and the South Bay.
Closing Statement (Will live at the bottom of the page)
At South Bay Plastic Surgeons, our commitment extends far beyond the walls of our practice. While many know us for our expertise in cosmetic surgery, nearly half of the procedures we perform at Torrance Memorial focus on complex reconstructive care for patients navigating breast cancer and other challenges.
Through sponsorships, fundraising, and meaningful community partnerships, we are proud to give back to Torrance and the greater South Bay. Whether supporting local charities, empowering survivors, or celebrating community traditions, our goal is always the same — to restore confidence, promote wellness, and make a lasting impact in the lives of those we serve.
