After Massive Weight Loss, Arm Lift Before & After Photos

This patient is a 36 year old woman who was seen by an Association of South Bay Plastic Surgeon for excess sagging skin on her upper arms.   She had an open gastric bypass surgery seven years ago. Her pre-gastric bypass weight was 260 pounds with a height of 5 feet and a Body Mass Index of 50. She lost 118 pounds and she now weighs 142 pounds with a Body Mass Index of 28.
 
At her initial consultation she wished to have the excess skin removed from her arms.  The brachioplasty procedure would be performed under general anesthesia in an outpatient surgery center.
 
In the operating room, with the patient asleep, two Long Beach Plastic Surgeons working as a team performed an arm lift including excision of the excess skin and subcutaneous tissue from the upper arms.  The incisions were closed with dissolving sutures and special glue. 
 
She is very happy with the appearance of her arms and the loss of the flabby skin on her upper arms.
