Abdominoplasty Before & After Photos

This 34 year old woman came to our office seeking a Long Beach abdominoplasty procedure. She had 2 children delivered by Cesarean section with a scar on abdomen and she had severe stretch marks over most of her stomach area from pregnancy. She wanted to get rid of her stretch marks and improve the shape of her abdomen. Additionally, she was curious about what could be done to improve the shape of her breasts as well.

 

Her surgeon informed her that the only way to remove stretch marks is to cut them out surgically as part of a Long Beach tummy tuck. This would remove most, but not all of her stretch marks. Also, her surgeon informed her that a vertical scar would be necessary in order to completely remove her old C-section scar. More discussion between this patient and her surgeon clarified her goals regarding her breasts. She wanted fuller breasts that look natural. She didn’t mind having scars on her breasts in order to optimize the shape of her breasts.

 

This patient underwent a full makeover of her chest and abdomen all in one day. Due to the length of her surgery, she stayed in an aftercare facility for safety and monitoring. This also allowed her to recover without having to care for her young children. During her surgery, Allergan Natrelle Smooth Round Silicone Gel implants were placed under the pectoralis muscle (submuscular) and her breasts were lifted by removal of the excess skin. High profile implants with a volume of 375ml were used to minimize the amount of skin that had to be removed. An On-Q pain pump was placed in her abdomen during her surgery to help with pain control during her recovery.

 

After her Long Beach tummy tuck and breast lift surgery, this patient was very happy with her new look. She noticed that she received more attention at work and she felt much better about herself. She was able to wear smaller size pants that revealed her new waistline and she changed two full bra sizes, from a B to a D cup.  She enjoyed being able to buy a whole new wardrobe!
