After Massive Weight Loss, Neck Lift, Neck Lift Before & After Photos

This 57 year old male, 3 years after an open gastric-bypass requested a massive weight loss reconstructive consultation with an Association of South Bay Plastic Surgeon.

The patient is 6 feet 1 inch tall and his weight before gastric bypass was 545 pounds with a Body Mass Index of 72. He lost 320 lbs over the next three years and his weight stabilized at 225 pounds and with a Body Mass Index of 30.

The patient was upset with the excess skin on his neck. He felt the appearance of his neck made him still appear fat and older than his age. After a discussion of the alternatives of treatment with an Association of South Bay Plastic Surgeon he decided to have the excess skin removed from his neck.

In the operating room, while the patient was asleep, a neck lift was performed by removing the excess skin and fat over his neck and by tightening the muscles under the skin. The incision was closed with sutures under the skin and special glue.

The patient was extremely pleased with the results of the surgery. He was very happy with new more youthful appearance his neck. He has a five year plan to obtain all the necessary procedures to make his body return to normal.
